Caridad Lodge

High-End, Authentic Argentine Lodge

Our Story

A Working Ranch Since 1910

Caridad sits on a working sheep ranch about fifty miles south of Esquel: 435,000 acres, established in 1910 when the British imported Merino wool sheep from Australia. The estancia still runs sheep today, and its own frontage holds over 96 miles of private water at the base of the Andes, from freestone rivers to spring creeks, alongside the wider Home Waters region Caridad shares with our other Central Patagonia lodges (see Shared Waters We Fish below).

Shared Waters We Fish

Thirteen named rivers, lakes, and spring creeks make up the Home Waters region our Caridad, Rivadavia, and Futaleufu lodges draw from. No single lodge has exclusive access, and several waters are fished by more than one of our lodges. Ask your lodge which waters are on the day's plan.

Proximity notes above are relative, not exact drive times: actual distance depends on river conditions and access points. Ask your lodge for specifics.
